Patient-Centered Care Learning Network
Disclosure Statement

As a provider accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), NRC Picker Improvement & Learning must ensure that the health and well being of the public is more important than an economic interest, and that educational activity content is effective in improving the practice of patient-centered care, independent of commercial interests, and based on valid content. It is NRC Pickers aim to ensure objectivity and scientific rigor in all educational presentations.

All planners and presenters participating in NRC Picker educational activities are expected to disclose to learners any relevant conflict(s) of interest or financial relationship(s), within the past 12 months, with any proprietary entities producing healthcare goods or services related to the content of the activity (with the exemption of non-profit or governmental organizations and non-healthcare related companies) that may have a direct bearing on the subject matter of the continuing education activity. This pertains to relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biomedical device manufacturers, or other corporations whose products or services are related to the subject matter of the presentation.  Relevant financial relationships may include employment, grants or research support, major stockholder, member of a speakers bureau, etc. The intent of this disclosure is not to prevent an individual with a relevant financial relationship from being a planning committee member or presenter of the CNE activity, but rather to assist the provider in the identification and resolution of conflict of interest prior to the activity and to provide the learners with the information they need to determine whether these interests or relationships influenced the content of the activity.

The following planning committee members do have an employment relationship with NRC Picker:
 Julie Samuelson, RN, MSN
 Mark Nolley
